I became a member of FBC Carrollton in 2010 and later joined the staff part time in 2014. Though I am a native of South Carolina I have called Georgia home for most of my adult life. I am a graduate of Anderson University (AFA) and Berry College (BM and MEd). I received additional training at Shorter University and the University of Kentucky. I consider teaching to be my calling and have decades of experience teaching in public and private schools, in churches, and in conferences, workshops, and ministry events across the country. My work at FBC includes managing, planning, and coordinating all things related to Christian education and children’s music.
I am active as a freelance editor and writer of children’s music and curriculum and have published works with Growing in Grace/Celebrating Grace, LifeWay Music, Hal Leonard Sacred, and Choristers Guild.
I am an avid reader and lifetime student of the Bible. One of my passions is encouraging others in their spiritual journeys, helping each person to seek and explore fresh ways to serve and minister. My husband Glenn and I enjoy traveling and spending quiet moments together in beautiful locations.
